“Vote for Asare, don’t be sorry!” Abby Asare participates in many extracurriculars, one of them being student council. Since she is in student council, she would like to be senior class president. Asare would like to run because she would like a high leadership position in the school, especially in student council.

Asare would like to become senior class president because “You really do get a lot more communication with administration to get changes and to get your ideas brought across.”

She thinks that student council representatives do get to do a lot but she wants to more and have more of her ideas brought up directly with administration.

Asare likes to observe other leadership styles so that she could see what to do and what not to do when being the leader of the grade. She has been in Student Council for two years and she has been on a lot of different committees that would help benefit her when leading. She hasn’t been a committee head yet but she has been “one below.”

Along with her two years in Student Council she also participates in National Honor Society, also known as NHS. She says NHS has also helped her see different ways to be a leader. She’s been in it since spring semester her sophomore year. She also participates in track.

Vote for Asare, don’t be sorry!

— Abby Asare

Her strategy is to be lighthearted about her campaign and not be too serious. She’s trying to not make is as serious as being President of the United States, but serious enough to make people take her seriously.

Asare says, “My strategy is using cute little photos, like my Bitmoji or I’m hoping to have a Snapchat filter and stuff like that.”

She works at Kumon Learning Center, which she says helps her learn how to direct people.

She hopes to win the election for senior class president. Elections are on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
