Concerts back for good

After two long years since the start of Covid-19, students are finally able to see live events with no Covid-19 precautions. As the school year is coming to a halt, students are looking forward to what concerts will be happening. Artists ranging from Charli XCX to Olivia Rodrigo will be touring the next 5 months in Colorado, for many possible shows to see. 

Junior Andrew Manson discusses how excited he is for the upcoming summer. 

He explains, “I’ve only ever been to two concerts, but within the next 3 months, I have 4!”

His excitement shows through his artists, as they are all releasing tours, he gets more and more excited. He explains what music means to him, as he’s been waiting to go to a Charli XCX concert for the past 6 months, as each day passes he plans his outfits and streams all of her albums. 

On an Instagram story, students  what concerts they’re going to over the summer. Artists such as Tyler the Creator, Slipknot, and the Backstreet Boys. Finally, after 2 full years of Covid-19, students can express themselves through music.  Artists flood locations such as the gothic theater to the ball arena. Tickets range from $20 to $400 or even more. Many would question how to afford as many as 3 different concerts, as each year artists raise their prices. 

Are concerts back for good? Through the past 2 years, there has been constant back and forth between quarantine and freedom. Will concerts have a high chance of going away again, is the question everyone will be asking for the near future. Summer concerts will continue to change the experience.
