“I write because I don’t know what I think until I read what I say.” ~Flannery O’Connor.

Writing helps reveal many ideas without physically speaking. Many people love writing and tend to feel a little astray as soon as they stop.

More people start to write because the world wants to hear what people are thinking about. Wanting to write should make one feel like there is nothing in the way. People should not feel ashamed about what they want to write about or even what they start to put out there. Everyone has a say in the world. Writing does not need to be better than all the professionals. There are no professionals at writing, even if that is their job.

Writing is a way of getting the opinion or voice of someone out there when it is needed. Do not compare work with others and think more about focusing on the work that is already being done. Everyone has a story behind them, but not everyone is willing to put it out there.

By taking some time out of the day and taking a seat somewhere, writing can be a very relaxing thing to do, starting out by listing little things just to get a feel of what is going on. With writing, it can be about something that is passionate for the writer add in whatever is needed. On Twitter, there are many hashtags about why people write. For example, #WhyIWrite. This website has a numerous amount of people commenting daily and nightly about why they choose to write.

Writing can also improve mental health. In the article “The Psychological Benefits of Writing,” it states that “Expressive writing has also been linked to improved mood, well-being, and reduced stress levels for those who do it regularly,” says the author, Adam Grant. This shows that writing is not just about putting words on a paper, but more of a beneficial thing. Being able to just really focus on what goals are being set for people then it could start to improve and make people happier. The main focus for people should be loving themselves and focusing on their well-being before anything else. If someone is in a hard place, they should just think about writing about what is going on around the world.

The importance of writing is so crucial. There are many benefits for people that can be taken from writing, such as having a longer and healthier relationship with significant others, helps recover memories, and feeling like something has been accomplished.
